Steps To Setup WavLink Extender using Ap.Setup

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully setup your WavLink extender using ap.setup.

  1. Connect your computer or other devices to the Range Extender devices with either Ethernet Cable or by wifi.
  2. Connect to the Wavlink_XXXX wifi network Wavlink AX1800 Extender which is is automatically created by the device
  3. Open a browser and type http://ap.setup or 192.168.10.1.
  4. You will see the login screen after that. Enter the default username and password “admin“.
  5. Now click to Wizard tab and choose the Repeater option.
  6. A list of all available Wi-Fi networks in the neighborhood will be shown on the screen.
  7. Enter the password of your Wi-Fi network.
  8. Enter SSID or Network Name for the new Extended WiFi network in the given box.
  9. Click on the Connect button now.
  10. Wait there for some seconds while it finishes making a new extended Wifi network.
  11. The device will now reboot and will generate the new WiFi network successfully.

Setting the extender with the wireless protected setup ( W.P.S ) button is another easy way to link your existing network to the extender.

  1. The first step is to connect the extender near the primary wifi router or modem.
  2. Now time to switch on the Wavlink wifi range extender.
  3. And watch the power light go from yellow to a solid green.
  4. After pressing WPS button on the extender, you should push the power led light.

  1. Connect the ComFAST AC1200 Extender to the wifi router.
  2. Open a browser and type 192.168.I0.1 IP address or type ap.setup.
  3. A login page will appear then enter the default username and password “admin“..
  4. The repeater scans for the signal from its surroundings.
  5. Choose your home wifi network.
  6. Now enter your wifi password and click Next.
