How To Perform Asus ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 Router Setup?
Asus ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 is the world’s first of its kind gaming tri-band router. The router features the 1.8GHz quad-core processor with the latest MU-MIMO technology. The router protects the network in real-time with data rates of up to 5334 Mbps. It gives priority to all ports and the gaming-dedicated 5GHz Wi-Fi band. It is also equipped with a feature called VPN Fusion that allows you to run normal Internet and VPN-connected Internet simultaneously.There are different ways to perform the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 router setup. We have 2 simple methods for the setup. You can use any one of the following methods to complete the setup.
Requirements For Setup
An updated Internet browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari)
Ethernet cable (2-3)
Modem with an Internet connection
Method 1: Asus Rog Rapture Gt-ac5300 Router Wired Setup
Using a wired connection is only to ensure that the setup is done without any issues. Once the wired setup is complete, you can remove the cable to the router and proceed wirelessly.
Have the Asus ROG Rapture router in hand.
Connect the AC power cord between the power source and the router.
Connect an Ethernet cable to the modem and the WAN port of the Asus router.
Connect another Ethernet cable from the LAN port of the router to the Internet port of your computer.
Open the default browser on your computer.
The Asus GUI will open automatically. In case it does not open, enter the Asus router’s URL in the address bar and press the Enter button.
The computer will be connected to the Internet (without password protection).
Open Login Information Setup.
In the Router Login Name and the New Password fields, enter the credentials to access your router.
Once you are logged in, go to Quick Internet Setup (QIS) and you will be taken through the setup steps.
Configure the SSID and password for your router and complete the setup.
Method 2: Asus Rog Rapture Gt-ac5300 Router Wireless Setup
Plug the Asus router into the power source.
Connect an Ethernet cable between your modem and the WAN port on the router.
At the bottom of the router, you will find the network name (SSID).
On your computer, turn on Wi-Fi and select your Asus router’s default SSID. Click the Connect button.
Immediately the web GUI opens for the Asus router.
In the Login Information Setup, enter the new admin credentials when prompted.
Open the Quick Internet Setup and carry out the instructions to set up the Internet connection.
Next, enter the SSID and password for your router’s wireless network.
Complete the setup with the on-screen instructions.
