Make sure that your computer and the router are connected.
Now, from your computer’s web browser, navigate to the D- Link router’s web interface page.
If you don’t know your D-Link router’s IP address, then find it out by following the instructions given below.
Open the Command Prompt window on your computer.
Type the ipconfig command on the cmd screen.
Now your D-Link router’s information such as IP address, Default Gateway, Subnet Mask, etc. will be displayed on the screen.
Note down/copy the IP address displayed on the cmd screen.
Enter the noted IP address on your computer’s web browser’s search field.
When prompted, enter your D- Link router’s credentials in the given fields.
Enter the default credentials if you have not changed it.
If you have changed the credentials, then enter the new ones in the given field and click the Sign in button.
On your D-Link router’s web interface page, click the Advanced tab followed by Port Forwarding.
Deselect the DMZ option by clicking the radio button beside Disable.
Click the Apply button or icon.
If you find the FTP, HTTP, or TELNET option and if they have Remote RDP or desktop, then select it.
Make sure to enter the correct IP address of the device you wish to access in the given field.
Fill the private and public ports text box by entering the port numbers.
Finally, click the Done button.
