Quality of Service (QoS) is needed to check the network operation when it is overloaded or congested. Quality of Service can be used to prioritize the network traffic. How To Configure QoS On Tp Link Router?
  • Ensure that you have connected the TP-Link router to your computer.
  • Launch the Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or other web browsers on the computer.
  • Navigate to the address bar of the web browser, type the IP address of the TP link Wi-Fi router, and press the Enter key.
  • Note: For most of the models of the TP-Link Wi-Fi routers, the IP address will be by default.
  • This will open the login page of the TP-Link Wi-Fi router. Fill both the User Name and Password fields with the correct login credentials and click the Login button.
  • Now, you can access the web-based setup page of the TP-Link Wi-Fi router.
  • Click the Advanced tab and select the QoS option followed by the Settings option.
  • Navigate to the QoS section and select the checkbox next to the Enable QoS option.
  • Click the NAT Boost link, remove the checkmark beside the Enable NAT Boost option, and click the Save option.
  • Make sure to fill the Upload Bandwidth and Download Bandwidth fields.
  • Go to the Advanced section, set a priority level, and click the Save option.

High priority rule:

  • If you want to set a high priority for the FTP server, click the Add button under the High Priority section.
  • The QoS Rule dialog window will display on the screen.
  • Click the radio button next to the By Application option. Select the checkbox beside the FTP option, and click the OK option.

Middle priority rule:

  • If you wish to set a middle priority for your mobile phone for the internet connection, go to the Middle Priority section and click the Add option in the QoS Rule List window.
  • After selecting the checkbox next to the By Device option, click the View Existing Devices option.
