Step 1 - Unpack Your Router

  • Check if the following contents are included in the package.
  • D-Link router
  • Power adapter
  • Ethernet cable
  • Wi-Fi configuration card
  • Quick install guide

Step 2 - Attach The Antenna

Now, attach the eight antennas to your D-Link AC5300 ultra router.

Step 3 - Unplug Modem’s Power Connection

  • If your DSL or cable modem’s power cord is connected to an electrical outlet, disconnect it.

Step 4 - Connecting Router To Modem

  • Take an Ethernet cable and connect it between your router’s Internet port and modem’s Ethernet port.

Step 5 - Connecting Router To Computer

  • Use another Ethernet cable and connect it between the router’s LAN port and your computer’s Ethernet port.

Step 6 - Modem’s Power Connection

  • Plug the DSL or cable modem’s power cord into an electrical outlet.

Step 7 - Turn ON Your Router

  • Connect the power adapter between the router’s rear port and a power outlet.
  • Check if the Power LED turns on. If not, press the Power button on the router’s panel.
  • After turning on the router, check if the Internet LED stays lit.

Step 8 - D-Link AC5300 Ultra Router Configuration

  • Open your favorite browser on your computer.
  • Type in the address bar. Press Enter on the keyboard.
  • Choose your language and then click the Next button.
  • Wait until the router detects your Internet connection type automatically.
  • Note: If it does not, select the Static IP Address Connection option. In the Static IP field, fill all the required fields and click Next.
  • Create your SSID in the Wi-Fi Network Name field. Also, create a network key in the Wi-Fi Password field. Click the Next button in the Wi-Fi Settings window.
  • Proceed with the remaining on-screen prompts.
  • Check if the Internet LED turns white. This indicates that you have configured the D-Link AC5300 Ultra router successfully.

Finally, you have set up D-Link AC5300 Ultra router and you can connect your network devices to it.
