Linksys EA6350 is a Dual-Band Wi-Fi router with advanced features to provide seamless wireless connectivity. You can connect your router to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi and configure the required settings. For detailed instructions on how to perform Linksys EA6350 VPN setup, go through the steps given below.
Turn on your router and check if the connection between your modem and router is stable.
Connect your Windows computer and router via an Ethernet cable or over Wi-Fi.
If you have connected the devices via an Ethernet cable, set your network connection to obtain the IP address automatically. For that, open the Control Panel on your Windows computer.
Click on Network and Internet –> Network and Sharing Center.
Navigate to the left-side panel and click on Change adapter settings.
Right-click the Local Area Connection icon and select Properties.
In the Local Area Connection Properties window, go to the Network tab and select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
Click on Properties and go to the General tab.
Select the Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically options.
Close the window and exit Control Panel.
Logging Into Linksys Smart Wi-Fi
Open the default browser and go to the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi sign-in page.
Enter your email address and password in the required fields and click the Sign In button.
Once you have successfully logged in to your Linksys Wi-Fi Smart account, proceed to set up a VPN on your Linksys EA6350 router.
On the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi page, navigate to the left-side panel.
Click the Connectivity tab below Router Settings.
Select Internet Settings and click Edit next to Type of Internet Connection setting.
Choose either PPTP or L2TP from the Connection Type drop-down menu.
Select the Obtain an IPv4 address automatically (DHCP) option and
In the Server IPv4 address field, enter the IP address of the VPN server you wish to connect.
Next, input your VPN username and password in the required fields.
Make sure to click Apply to save the settings.
Go to the Local Network tab and enter the Public Google DNS address Static DNS 1 and Static DNS 2 fields.
Once you have completed these settings, restart your router.
