Opticover N300 Wireless N Ap Router Setup

Opticover N300 Wireless-N AP/Router is a Wi-Fi extender that helps in extending the Wi-Fi to several other devices that are not within the optimum connection range of your wireless router. The Wi-Fi booster is compatible with any router or access point, which makes it easy to strengthen the network in the 2.4GHz frequency band. The booster will provide you an optimum speed of 300mbps. The WPS button on Opticover N300 helps in quickly expanding the Wi-Fi coverage and assists in meeting three essential needs- The Repeater, AP mode, and Router mode. It is easy to install and also enables connectivity to all kinds of wireless devices.

Follow the directions mentioned below to install and setup the Opticover N300 Wireless-N AP/Router:

There are two methods to set up this Wi-Fi extender.


Using the Web browser

  • Plug, the Opticover device into a wall socket and place it near the router for the initial pairing.
  • Turn on the Opticover device and wait till the Wireless LED on it is lit up.
  • You can also connect the extender and your computer using an Ethernet cable.
  • Make sure that no other Ethernet cable is connected to your computer.
  • If you are using a Laptop, then click the Internet option and select the Opticover device from the list of wireless devices.
  • Click the Connect button and establish the connection.
  • Launch a browser and enter the router IP in the address bar to access its web interface.
  • Enter the default username and the default password to log in to the router.
  • Select the SSID of your Wi-Fi and then enter its password.
  • After that, click the Next button.
  • Now, you can enter a new SSID for the Opticover device, or you can use the same SSID as your wireless router. Use the same password as your wireless network. Click the Next button.
  • Once the connection is set up, check the RE LED on the extender. It will stop blinking, and the LED color will turn solid.

Using the WPS Button

  • Plug the extender into the electrical circuit.
  • Now, find the WPS button on the router and press it.
  • Immediately after that, press the power button on the extender.
  • The lights in the router and the extender will start blinking.
  • Wait until the lights on both the router and the extender turn solid. It would indicate that the connection is secure.
  • Once the connection is secure, you can move the extender to any part of your house.

You can use either of the above steps to set up your Opticover N300 Wireless-N AP/Router over a wireless network.
