Step 1

  • Connect your Xbox One to the Linksys router wireless network.
  • On Xbox One, navigate to the Settings menu and select the Advanced Settings option.
  • Note down the Xbox One console’s IP address and MAC address.

Step 2

  • Open Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or any other web browser on your computer.
  • Note: The computer must be connected to the router’s network.
  • Enter the IP address in the address bar.

Step 3

  • If prompted for the router login details, leave the User Name field empty and type admin in the Password field (default credentials).
  • Click OK in the Authentication Required dialog box.

Step 4

  • Now, you can assign an IP address to the Xbox One manually based on the IP address and Mac address you have noted in step 1.

Step 5

  • Go to the Settings menu on the Xbox One console and select the Network option followed by the Test network connection option.
  • Continue with the on-screen steps to make sure that Xbox One is connected to the router’s network.

Step 6

  • Return to the router’s web interface page.
  • Navigate to the Router Settings section and choose the Security option.
  • Click the Apps and Gaming tab followed by the Single Port Forwarding tab.
  • Select the ‘Add a new Single Port Forwarding’ option.

Step 7

  • Type your device name in the Application Name field.

  • UDP - 88, 500, 3544, or 4500
  • TCP & UDP - 3074
  • Select the checkbox next to the Enabled option.
