TP-Link Archer C1200 Router Setup - Complete Guide

  • Take out the router from the carton.
  • The product package comes with the router installation CD, the Ethernet cable, and the router AC adapter.
  • Take out the Ethernet cable from the packaging and connect one end of the cable to one of the 4 LAN ports on the router and the other end to the computer.
  • Connect another Ethernet cable between the WAN port of the router and your modem.
  • Take out the power cord from the packaging, connect the plug to the power source and to the router.
  • Wait till all the LEDs on the router are lit.
  • Now, open the default browser on your computer.
  • Type the URL and press the Enter button to begin TP-Link Archer C1200 router setup.
  • The TP-Link router login page will now open.
  • You have to type in the login credentials,
  • Username: admin
  • Password: admin
  • Click on the Login button.
  • The TP-Link page will now open.
  • Click or select the Quick Setup option from the left section of the page.
  • Click the Next button.
  • When the Connection type setup page appears, click the radio button for the option Dynamic IP.
  • Click the Next button.
  • On the Setup screen, type an SSID name for your wireless network in the required field.
  • Click the radio button for the option WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and then enter a password for your wireless network.
  • Click the Next button.
  • You will now see the message “Congratulations! The Router is now connected to the internet”.
  • Click the Reboot button and click OK to confirm the reboot.
  • You will now see the restarting progress on the screen.
