TP-Link Archer C8 is a dual-band Wi-Fi router that allows Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) data streaming. It applies Qualcomm's VIVE 802.11ac technology to serve multiple devices without sacrificing bandwidth. The router enables four-stream 800Mbps on the 2.4GHz band via 256QAM and 1.7Gbps on the 5GHz band. It also has four adjustable and removable antennas, four gigabit Ethernet ports, a WAN port, a power jack, and a power switch. Make sure to carry out the steps for the TP-Link Archer C8 router set up given on this page.
Place the router and the modem closer to reduce any interference.
Attach the antennas on the router and make sure to extend the antennas properly. This will maximize the router's wireless performance.
Turn off your modem. If your modem carries any backup battery, remove this as well.
Connect the modem to the blue internet (WAN) port on your router with the Ethernet cable provided along with the package.
Connect the power adapter to the modem and turn it ON. Wait for the modem to get online.
Connect the router to the power adapter and turn it on.
You can see the LED light on the router flashing orange. Wait for the light to turn solid white.
You're now ready to connect your computer to the TP-Link Archer C8 router.
If you're opting for a wireless connection, go to the Wi-Fi settings section and enter your router's network name (SSID) and password.
You can find the network name (SSID) and the password on the product label.
Alternatively, you can connect the device to the TP-Link Archer C8 router using an Ethernet cable.
Go to http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 and enter the login information.
Select a region, time zone, and click the auto-detect button on your screen.
Proceed with the on-screen instructions to complete the TP-Link Archer C8 setup.
Make sure to configure the wireless network with a new SSID and password.
Once you have completed the TP-Link Archer C8 router setup, connect your wireless devices to the router and access the internet.
