WPS or Wi-Fi Protected Setup is the easiest way to connect your network devices to the Internet. But, sometimes, it may not work as expected.
If you encounter the Xfinity WPS button not working issue on your Xfinity Wireless Gateway (Wi-Fi router), then try restarting it. You can restart your Xfinity router in two ways, either using the Xfinity My Account app or manually.
Using the Xfinity My Account app:
Launch the Xfinity My Account app on your device.
Tap the Internet icon.
Select the Wireless Gateway option.
Choose your router and tap Restart this Device. On the confirmation screen, tap the Restart Device option.
Now, the restart process will be initiated and it may take up to 10 minutes to complete.
Restarting the Xfinity router manually:
Disconnect the power cable from the router and wait for a minute.
Now, reconnect the power cable and restart the router.
Once the router has been restarted, try to connect your device to the network by pressing the WPS button.
If you encounter the same issue again, then reset your router using the Admin tool.
