1. Prepare the modem and router

Install the Deco app, connect the first Deco to the modem and wait for its status light to indicate setup readiness.

2. Open the guided setup

Create the Deco network in the app, select the correct location and allow the main unit to complete any update.

3. Configure Internet and WiFi

Add other Deco units close enough for initial detection before moving them to final positions.

4. Place and connect mesh units

Use Access Point mode when another router must retain routing functions, or Router mode when Deco should control the network.

5. Verify and document the setup
