Fix it in this order
Identify the parent—the node physically connected to the modem—and the affected child.
If the parent is red, verify modem service and restart modem first, waiting until it is online before powering the parent.
If only a child is red, power-cycle that child once and move it near the parent.
Use the Linksys app to check node status and add/reconnect the child. Classic WHW units and newer MX models can use different ready-light colours.
Once connected nearby, move the child halfway toward its intended coverage area and retest.
For Ethernet backhaul, test the cable and switch path and rule out a loop. Complete normal app setup first unless the model instructions say otherwise.
